The "Casitas" social program, located in the town of Buena Vista, in the department of Tacna, provides a safe environment for children who, due to their parents' agricultural work, are absent for part of the day. This space provides them with the necessary support to foster their holistic development and emotional well-being.
In collaboration with the Jesuit Mission organization and in coordination with the Cristo Rey Center for Children and Adolescents (CCRNA), this project focuses on enhancing the academic and personal skills of young people, opening doors to a promising future.
The program has demonstrated significant growth and tangible achievements:
2024: We positively impacted the holistic development of 28 children, strengthening their key skills.
2025: Given the need and the program's success, "Casitas" expanded its reach, benefiting 40 children not only from Buena Vista, but also from Sama Las Yaras. The sessions are held Monday through Friday, three hours a day, and include homework help, social skills workshops, and family integration activities, guaranteeing essential complementary support.
Main achievements 2025:
- Expanded reach: The initial goal was exceeded, benefiting 40 enrolled children.
- Pedagogical innovation: Implementation of a multi-grade model and continuous strengthening of the educational team for more adapted and effective teaching.
- Family strengthening: Incorporation of active family support and home visits to strengthen the children's emotional and support environment.
At Redinter, we are committed to education and child development, sowing hope for a better future.
